NEBOSH IntetNational Certificate in Fire Safety and Management
nEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management is a qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace. This course is suitable for people in any industry sector, anywhere in the world. It is ideal for:
- Managers, and supervisory staff,
- People moving into a fire safety advisor roles.
This qualification should equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required.
The National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management course is split into three units of study, each of which is assessed separately:

Unit FC2: Fire Safety Practical Application
Holders of the National Fire Certificate are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH.
Blended Learning Option
You can study the National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management by attending a blended learning course at one of our high-quality training venues in the USA, Kingston Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
Our blended learning course allows you to study the course by distance/e-learning and then attend a two-day classroom workshop which provides intensive tutor-led revision before you sit your exam.
Our distance/e-learning option with unlimited help and support from our expert NEBOSH Trainers is a great option for those who need a more flexible way to study the NEBOSH Certificate.
You can start the blended learning or e-learning course at anytime and you'll receive support and guidance from your online tutor as you progress through the learning activities.
Units NGC1 and FC1 of the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management are each assessed by one two-hour written examination.
Unit FC2 is assessed by a two-hour practical assessment carried out in your workplace.
Exams take place in March, June, September and December.
We have exam centres in the USA, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. In addition, for other countries, we can make arrangements for you to take the exam at your local British Consultate office.
No previous health and safety knowledge is required. However it should be noted that the examination is offered, and must be answered, in English, and that the course includes a requirement to write a short report, which must also be in English.
NEBOSH recommends that candidates undertaking the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management should reach the equivalent of a scoring of 6.0 or higher under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

The course is being delivered by OSHE Consultants in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA, for aspiring fire safety and risk assessment professionals.
